Coral Springs runs its building safety inspections through the City's Building Division, applying the standard Broward County uses across its municipalities. Two reports are required, structural and electrical, each on the County's approved forms.
The City adds a step other Broward municipalities do not: its own local submittal form accompanies the County report forms, and the package is filed through the City's eTRAKiT portal rather than by email or over a counter. Vilano Engineering delivers both reports and handles the submittal as one package.

In a retail centre or office property that extends to the equipment serving common areas, parking and site lighting.
Two things are required together here: Broward County's approved structural and electrical report forms, and the City's own building safety inspection submittal form. Proprietary report formats are not accepted. The completed package goes in through the City's eTRAKiT portal.
Broward's standard is not limited to the enclosed building. Parking garages, elevated decks and walkways attached to a covered building fall inside the inspection. For a shopping centre or an office park, the parking structure is inspected alongside the building it serves.
Coral Springs applies the same county standard as neighbouring Margate, and as Pompano Beach to the east, differing only in how the City takes the submittal. No infrared thermography is required, which sets Broward apart from Miami-Dade.
