Tamarac's building safety inspections follow the standard Broward County applies county-wide, run through the City's own building department. Two reports are required — a structural safety inspection report and an electrical safety inspection report — each prepared on the County's approved forms.
Condominium associations account for much of Tamarac's covered inventory, alongside the neighbourhood retail plazas and commercial buildings along its main corridors. Vilano Engineering delivers both reports and submits them together as one sealed package.
The notice tells you which reports are due and the date they are due by. What it leaves out is what the inspections involve and what the building department will be looking for.

The reports go on Broward County's approved structural and electrical forms; a firm's own format is not accepted. Every page carries the seal of the professional responsible for that scope, and the package is filed with the City's building department.
The scope runs past the walls of the building. Elevated walkways, decks and parking structures attached to a covered building are inspected as part of it, as are docks and seawalls where a covered building has them. For a plaza or a garden-style condominium property that means the covered walkways and the parking areas come in with the building.
The requirement is the same one that applies in Coconut Creek to the east and Margate to the north-east. No thermographic scan is required anywhere in Broward, unlike Miami-Dade.

They need to be permitted, completed and inspected, with a re-inspection affidavit. Getting the permits is the building owner's responsibility, and the engineer cannot certify a building on work that was never permitted.
